Effective Date: 19 Jun 2026 Version: 1.0

This Newsletter & Email Consent Policy explains how Squoovi manages newsletters, event emails, promotional emails, account emails, organization emails, event-submission emails, consent records, and unsubscribe choices.

Squoovi is a local event discovery platform that helps people find local events and helps organizers share event information. Squoovi is currently focused on Lethbridge and surrounding areas, but users from across Canada may access the website, create accounts, subscribe to emails, and use Squoovi’s services.

This policy should be read together with Squoovi’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

These emails are not the same as optional newsletters or marketing emails. They are connected to your account, security, organization access, event submissions, or use of Squoovi’s services.

You may not be able to opt out of necessary account, security, transactional, or service-related emails while keeping an active account or using organizer tools.

3. Optional Newsletters and Event Emails

Squoovi may offer optional newsletters or event-related emails, such as:

  • weekly or occasional local event newsletters;

These optional emails are separate from necessary account and service emails.

6. Unsubscribing from Optional Emails

You can unsubscribe from optional newsletter, marketing, or promotional emails.

Squoovi may provide unsubscribe options through:

  • an unsubscribe link in emails;
  • account notification settings;
  • direct contact with Squoovi;
  • another unsubscribe method shown in the message.

After you unsubscribe, Squoovi will take reasonable steps to stop sending you the optional email category you unsubscribed from.

Unsubscribing from newsletters or marketing emails does not automatically unsubscribe you from necessary account, security, transactional, organization, event-submission, or service-related emails.

7. Email Preferences

Squoovi may allow users to manage email preferences in account settings.

Preference options may include:

  • newsletter emails;
  • local event recommendations;
